*Portsmouth Nursery School does not make-up snow days at the end of the school year.

School Cancellations

If the Portsmouth Public Schools are cancelled or delayed because of snow, we will be cancelled or delayed as well. This information can be obtained by listening to any of the major TV or radio stations. If the public schools are in session, and we decide to close because of hazardous conditions in our parking lot, you will be notified by e-mail and/or phone prior to the start of class. Snow days are rare but when they do occur, the school does not make them up at the end of the year.

Over the years there have been a few funeral services held at the United Methodist Church that required PNS to suspend school for the day. In the event of this rare occurrence, the school day will be made up at the end of the year.
